"Baba ji! You are fine"
"Baba ji! You are fine" I asked looking at the board hanging on Baba ji's shop on which it was written -
"Samosa in Ramadan for one rupee, fritters at half price - free for the poor"
My question was not in vain - because this little businessman is the asset of his life - Babaji smiled and said -
"Yeah okay son - I thought I'd grow the business."
We both looked at the poster - it was a new tradition - Babaji's thinking was positive but he is a poor hardworking man - how can he survive by doing harm - I was worried about my place but there was a strange gleam on this old man's face -
"I'm starting a big business, I will trade in Ramadan, God willing - I will earn well - I will earn all year round in one day"
I stood and listened in amazement - looking at the smile on his face without saying a word - it was as if he was digging the ground in the hope that the treasure would fall into his hands -
"Son! I am starting a business with Allah - just now it will be a blessing - see I will earn so much every day that it will not fit in my swing - you see - people will think I have reduced the price - are ignorant It's worldly - people don't understand - I've multiplied the price. "
Babaji understood what I was thinking, and the answers were being given automatically
"This is the month of blessings, we go out to earn the world - do not worry about the real earnings and leave the blessings and run after the dead - this is the wealth of the world is dead - if this trade is understood then in every shop such Paper will hang "
I took a deep breath and Babaji laughed.
"I understand what I'm saying after a lot of exercise - you just don't understand."
I understood, but I could not forget the ways of the world.
"May Allah accept your trade," I said, and Babaji said Amen aloud and resumed his work
